Commercial vehicle axle oil seal
Commercial vehicle axle oil seals are core sealing components installed at the junction of axle half shafts and axle housings. Adopting a composite structure of cold-rolled steel plate framework and NBR/HNBR sealing lips, they are equipped with a built-in stainless steel tension spring in the main lip and a dust-proof auxiliary lip on the outer side. Capable of withstanding a working temperature range of -40℃ to 120℃ and pressure ≤ 0.3MPa, they are suitable for high-speed operating conditions of half shafts with a speed ≤ 3000r/min. These seals effectively prevent gear oil leakage from the axle housing, isolate the intrusion of external dust, sand and rainwater, and protect the lubrication and stable operation of precision components such as gears and bearings inside the axle. Widely applied to drive axles and steering axles of commercial vehicles including heavy trucks, light trucks and buses, they have a service life of over 100,000 km under standard operating conditions.

01Bidirectional Precision Sealing: Composite structure of main lip + dust-proof auxiliary lip. The main lip is equipped with a built-in stainless steel tension spring to dynamically compensate for half-shaft runout and prevent gear oil leakage (dynamic low leakage ≤ 0.1g/h, static zero leakage). The auxiliary lip effectively isolates dust, sand and rainwater; high-end models with reflow grooves can channel leaked oil back to the axle housing. Some labyrinth structures improve dust-proof efficiency by over 80% and boast waterproof capacity several times that of conventional models.
Heavy-Duty Working Condition Adaptability: The cold-rolled steel plate framework provides rigid support, and the NBR/HNBR sealing lips resist corrosion from mineral/synthetic gear oils. Withstanding a temperature range of -40℃~120℃ (up to 150℃ for high-temperature models), pressure ≤0.3MPa and half-shaft speed ≤3000r/min, it can cope with vibrations and impacts from long-distance high-speed driving, mountain-road heavy loading and frequent start-stops, maintaining stable sealing performance.
Durable, Wear-Resistant & Self-Compensating: Uniform contact pressure on the sealing lip ensures a wear rate ≤0.02mm per 10,000 km and a service life ≥100,000 km under standard operating conditions. Spring tension automatically compensates for lip wear and accommodates minor radial/axial runout of the half-shaft. The rubber coating on the outer side of the framework forms an interference fit with the axle housing to prevent leakage at the mounting surface.
Low Friction & Maintenance-Friendly: The low-torque lip design reduces shaft wear and temperature rise; some models feature a grease storage structure to minimize dry friction. The press-fit/cassette design enables quick installation, while the labyrinth structure further enhances protection rating, lowering maintenance costs and failure rates.
Safety Protection: It prevents lubrication failure and contaminant intrusion, avoids premature wear, abnormal noise, seizure and other faults of gears and bearings, ensures driving safety and improves vehicle operational efficiency.
